The ELC teachers have professional qualifications to teach English. I trust them and really appreciate the advice they gave in class. Especially as a Japanese student who is not good at speaking, their encouragement to speak English inside and outside of the class has increased my confidence a lot.
I have classmates from different countries and cultures. It was hard to get to know my classmates initially due to our language barriers. But we started to communicate in English and that helped us bridge and learn about each other’s cultures. Also, Malaysians in general and the ELC staff are very friendly and helpful. This makes me want to use English more.
